Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project

The $35M ADB Loan and additional grant financing of $30.5M, is a continuation of ADB’s support in financing for corporatization of Provincial Water Supply Utilities for the development and expansion of water supply systems and village improvements to help reinforce links between sanitation and health.

As part of the capacity building component of the Project, LCG has supported the Provincial Water Supplies Utilities in eight provinces to draft their corporate plan and tariff structure reform.

Core outputs are improved sector coordination and policy implementation; improved non-revenue water management;  developed new water supply systems in small towns;  enhanced community action in water supply and sanitation; and  strengthened capacity for project implementation, operation and maintenance.

LCG is the lead consultant to implement the project for the above services. During the Project implementation LCG is supporting the central Project Coordination Unit and provincial Project Implementation Units from the subproject preparation through to construction supervision and monitoring and evaluation. LCG has prepared feasibility studies, environmental and social safeguards documents for a total of 15 Sub-projects, prepare detailed design including tender documents and provided construction supervision for 15 Sub-projects.
